It's official.

The 2013 Aclara Client Conference will be in Kansas City, Mo. at the Kansas City Downtown Marriott, April 22-25, 2013.

We will be posting information to our conference website (AclaraClientConference.com) and issuing updates on Twitter. Join us at @AclaraSolutions.

We are holding the line on costs: the hotel rate remains the same as it was for our 2011 and 2012 Client Conferences at $159 per night.

The registration fee for the conference continues to remain below the $400 mark at $380 for Early Bird (a bargain compared to other conferences) and quite a feat, given how food prices have been skyrocketing.

Registration will open in December, and we will be sending you more information on the conference as it becomes available.

We have a big evening planned for our annual offsite event, and are currently negotiating with several different, fun venues in order to produce the best event for our clients.

Thursday, April 25th:
Noon: Conference adjourns

If you can, plan on arriving a few days early or staying a few days after the conference to take in the sights, such as the National World War I Museum, Harley-Davidson plant tour, Kansas City Royals, National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, and the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway.

Environmental Test Chamber
Aclara is dedicated to providing high-quality products that meet industry standards by investing heavily in test equipment. Recently, Aclara purchased another temperature chamber used for ANSI C12.1 temperature and humidity testing as well as design verification. Since Aclara's products are exposed to environmental extremes, this chamber allows Aclara engineers to validate performance prior to releasing products to manufacturing. The chamber is capable of operating over the temperature range of -73C to + 190C (-99F to 374F) and a humidity range of 10% to 98% non-condensing. This chamber represents one of the many tools utilized by engineering to investigate product performance over environmental extremes.

FCC PreCompliance RF Chamber
Aclara has also purchased a SpaceSaver 26H Pre-Compliance chamber that is used for taking radio frequency (RF) radiated measurements in a controlled and isolated environment. The chamber is designed to isolate a unit under test from external RF signals while minimizing reflections occurring inside the chamber, thus simulating an open-area test environment. This chamber is used quite extensively to validate performance improvements and compliance of Aclara products before engaging in the open-area test site.

Another major use for this chamber is in the analysis of pit lids used in many water and gas applications. These lids are constructed out of everything from cast iron to concrete reinforced with rebar to composite materials. New pit lids that are utilized by new and current customers are analyzed by the Aclara team for acceptable performance.
